Also the Siege Tower blueprints will be delayed. The reason being a reinstall of Op System and all software. A fuller expain is on the network home page HobbysOnline. The blueprints are 90% complete so it won't be very long after the reinstall that it will be finalised as a pdf, zipped and posted to the network.

First of all there is a new page under 2-3D Resources where Gimp resources will be repository (this page is for color palettes). Number 1 is Warning Colors Palette #2 which has more shades than the original started in Photoshop, totaling over 30 colors to choose from. I will eventually convert all my photoshop color swatche offerings to Gimp.

The 3D Blueprints of the Siege Tower are almost finalised and will be avialable very soon.

Take a look at the Tutorials page where you can link to a list of everyday measurements that could possibly be used in constructing 3D representaions, CAD drawings or whatever.

Over on the right is a thumbnail you can click on to see a preview of the coming cliff and caves pack. They will be in the obj format with texture included. Pack1 will be a grey rock texture while pack2 will be a red rock texture. Also included are 2 long cave arches that can be butted end to end forming a long tunnel and a small stand alone natural arch.

The cliffs at approx. 14meters are hollow and could be fitted with rooms textured to simulate rock, a concrete hi tech base or just about anything.

Cave entry ways are large at approx. 4meters wide x 7meters high. You could for instance, use a large moving door, a wall with a truck and human size door, choke the entry with rocks/landslide allowing for a human size entry, or etc.......

UpDate 10/11/2006: I'm now working on 2 sets of stand alone rocks that will have the same textures as the first 2 pacs above. This will include bolders, tall rocks, arches, mesa and other possibilities.
